Special Women and their Special Lives

We want to walk in the footsteps of women, and there are quite a few of them at the Central Cemetery. Many of them shaped the development of Vienna as pioneering contemporaries. Coming from all corners of the monarchy, often driven out of Vienna and yet buried here. Hedy Lamar was not only the most beautiful woman in the world she was foremost an inventor. Margarete Schütte-Lihotzkythe was the architect and creator of the first fitted kitchen. Not to mention the male "Nestroy", the actress Josefine Gallmyer, to name just a few of whom we will meet on our walk.
